What is this game?
Minesweeper is a simple game, click on as many boxes on the play field as possible without hitting a mine. You must sweep the field for mines, hence the name 'Minesweeper'.
How to play?
The following is a brief explanation of how to play Minesweeper on CryptoGames:
  1. Set the amount you would like to wager using the 'Bet size' box.
  2. Set the number of mines you would like to place on the field. The minimum number of mines is 1, the maximum number of mines is 24. The more mines you have on the field, the higher the payout will be.
  3. Once these have been set, press the 'PLAY' button.
  4. On the field, click the squares that you believe don't have a mine in them.
  5. Once you are done clicking on squares, press the 'Cashout' button.
If you hit a mine, you lose and your bet is taken.

We only accept bets that have a profit smaller than 1 BTC (maximum win per bet), this means your game will not be allowed to uncover additional fields, if your pending win would go over this threshold

Provably Fair gambling is a technology that is unique to Bitcoin gambling that makes it impossible for a player or casino to cheat.
You no longer have to doubt the house for your every loss. So, whatever game you are playing, you can be confident that the result is fair and accurate given its fairness is provable.

Seeds are generated strings that are used for cryptographic purpose.

Last server seed SHA256: Last seed generated on our side (encrypted SHA256)
Last server seed: Last server seed generated by our side
Last client seed:Last client seed generated on your side
Next server seed SHA256: Next server seed (encrypted SHA256)
Next client seed: Your next client seed
SHA512 hash: Server seed and client seed combined and encrypted in SHA512

To verify that your last bet was processed in a truly fair manner, you can go to an online SHA512 generator, merge your Server seed (A) and Client seed (B) by using a step indicator (#), something you might need later on, and calculate the hash of this string (A#B, where A and B are your seeds and # is an increasing number starting at 0). You'll receive the SHA512 hashes used for generating the minefield.

Now convert the first two characters of your bethash from Hexadecimal to Decimal. Use the result to calculate modulo 25 (this equals the remainder of an euclidean division by 25, for example 27%25=2) with the result being the first coordinate and you will have the position of your first mine. The playing board has 25 fields and they are numbered from 0 to 24 from the top left to the bottom right in rows. For example, 11 would be the second column, third row.

Repeat the last step until you have found as many different coordinates as there are mines in your game. In the case of hash exhaustion (meaning you progress all characters in your bethash without finding enough mines for your game), start from the beginning, and increase your step indicator by one.

If one of the fields you select to uncover matches one of the coordinates you calculated for the mines, you lose your bet. Else, if you cash out before stepping on a mine, the bet is successful and you win.
